I've got it signed in with 154gr Tula soft points. Figured that'd give me a little better odds than a FMJ.

We'll see how it goes. I've got a few rifles to choose from, but figured I'd try the Saiga first. Really debating semi versus bolt action. .30-06 or 7mm mag aught to do the job as well.

Wife wants a .458 Socom, I might just oblige her. ;)

Nothing fancy bought it out of the need for a gun with a short barrel and stopping power. A good amount of my kills are from crawling through south Texas underbrush hunting beds or stalking swamp hogs. lugging around a full length barrel tends to be a problem when running through the thick stuff.
