I poked his gut pretty good.
Maybe a .243 would be a good choice for an animal that size.

Took a close buddy on his first nv hunt and dropped this 140lb boar at about 50 yards

i caught a group of 12 out right before dark yesterday. i stalked within 75 yards of them before a basset hound stalked within 10 feet of me and gave me away. This was the only one i was able to down.

Not necessarily. If you aren't interested in taking the pelt, the 7 is fine and covers all the furry bases.
