Yah ASPP I thing there is not a combanation not ever thought of.
The beauty of a bushing die is with the right bushing you don't need a expander ball. I wish I had got bushing dies a long time ago.

I do believe your right.

One thing I would like to see is a 25-6.8, it has all the right bullet weights for expected velocitys, and should push the 80gr TTSX to ~3050-3150, making it a honest 500-600yd gun. Or a 110gr accubond/100GR Partition to ~2750-2800, would be a 400-450YD usable range. I see it using 5.56 range of powders, and 18-20" barrels.
I see it being a semiautomatic 257 Roberts +P, lots of good hunting bullets and a bunch of good varmint bullets.

That would be very close to the 250-3000 savage, just a little less case capacity.

My thoughts too, but I believe with the 6.8 parent case it would be a bit more semi-auto friendly. With my shoulders (and according to the doc back) issues I have to shoot light recoiling guns, one way around that is semi-auto rifles or small caliber bolt guns. I have a decelerator pad on my 30-06 and its almost too much, even with light loads.
Supposed to be going to Stanford in the next couple of weeks to talk to a spine & joint specialist to maybe fix that little issue.

I think it would make an awesome round. I also am looking at lighter recoiling options as both of my shoulders are screwed up. The tendons are turning to bone and hammering on them with my .300 mag makes me want to pee down both legs. I can still handle the 06 and .270 but I think my days are numbered.

One "problem" could be with the bullets of the 118 or 120gr weights, loaded to mag lengths might not have enough room for powder depending on which powder used. Example --> would you have to seat the bigger bullets so deep that it would not leave room for heavy doses of the slow(er) burning powders ?? Possibly a 100gr (or so) could be the heaviest bullet you could effectively use. --- pruhdlr

He did mention using 80 - 100gr bullets which should leave enough case capacity.

I have a bunch of 80 to 100 gr bullets. That would be an interesting one. Only down side is getting 6.8 brass. I can get a ton of 22-250 brass just to shoot heavier loads but now I need an ar-10

The 110grs bullets are roughly the same length as the 6.8" 120gr bullets (+/-0.05") and I would expect them to be about the max for the case. Lots of options </= 110grs, so it shouldn't be much of an issue. Most of the 110gr+ bullets are for 25-06 speeds anyway.
