That is just awful man, so sorry about your gear but the important thing is you got out safely.

Man that's horrible. The gas company should be liable. They clearly didn't fill the hole properly. What if you were a little lower and got trapped inside and drowned? I'm glad you're physically ok and that most of your gear was saved. Those lenses are not cheap though. And losing ammo is never good.
I'd be calling the gas company non stop.

I can't believe with the snorkel you got that much water in. Anything is possible I guess. Did the front go completely under?
Really sucks to incur a loss like that.

I am still hoping the second opinion is a better mechanic and there is really nothing major wrong

Snorkel never went under And i managed to keep the engine out of the water. Had to be the water in the fuel I guess. Transmission and front different had no water in them the rear was all that sunk.

Different engine they only made this engine for three years one of the reasons I picked this model it should last forever. I seem to have short forevers.

I do..but I just recently started converting it to a hunting rig. Chopped the roof off lol.
