Got into some pigs last night. Took 3 shots to bring the boar down - first one was a little behind in the chest, next one to the hindquarters slowed him down & then the finisher to the noggin at about 100 yds. Measured 42" = 220 lbs long & lean. Tough guy - he never made a sound. Not so for the sow and 3 little choppers - they all made plenty of noise. Poor little choppers - one got away in the brush so I guess the coyotes got a meal. Personally I don't enjoy shooting the little ones but we all know in a short amount of time what they will grow up to be.
Thanks guys, just doin' my part, lol. Dan, these were on separate places, about 10 miles apart. It was about 3am when I got home yesterday morning - only a couple hours sleep made for a long and not too productive day at work yesterday. But I got caught up on sleep last night - just in time for weekend hunting! (wife rolls eyes.....)
