I think your blackout would be just the ticket on a golf course, subsonic with a can. The residents should not even be aware of the carnage taking place right in their neighborhood.
IF I could have a can, I would do a 300WTF for squirrls and yotes in my yard (50yd shots), but as it is, the 22mag doesnt make that much noise, and its more fun to thump the dogs with 3" BB loads out of the 870 anyway! Though clean up is a little rougher....
