^^Thats what I've come to the conclusion of I think.
Brian maybe a homemade out of an inner-tube?
My Vortex Defender lens cap in today. It was easy to put on and doesn't affect the 75mm lens viewing area at all. Thanks for posting this up Brian. I've already ordered a second one for my other Zeus.
Yeah, I just ordered a smaller version for my 42mm Zeus as well. Glad you found the information useful.
Mine came in yesterday, went on in about 10 seconds. A second one ordered this morning for my buddy's 75mm. Funny to think that a $6K scope comes with a "$50" rubber lens cap that is very inferior to a $18 option from Amazon and VOrtex. Thank you very much for the tip. If I were a NV dealer, I think I'd be stocking up on these and including them with purchase.
What size did you get for the 42mm Zeus? 40-46mm or 50-59mm?
I found this one had a tight fit.
I ordered this one for my Zeus 42 and it fits great and is magnitudes better than the OEM cap. Thanks for a great recommendation.
YAY!!!!!! The original caps are certainly functional, but I replaced my 42mm Zeus simply because I liked the flip cap so much better. It is easier to open and easier to close.
My buddy just ordered a Zeus 75. So the largest vortex cap is what he needs right?
I think it is the largest, but in case they come out with something else bigger, I know this size works.
Sweet! If you guys come across one that'll fit the Zeus 100 let me know.
Anyone know which one fits the 50mm?
Nice to see you on this forum Lilmac.
Thanks man! It’s a nice place. Good to see you as well.
FYI, the Vortex Defender 50 (55-59mm) cap will fit the 50mm Zeus line (PTS536) of scopes.
