yeah you need to have a place to set the camera up and I almost could not figure out how to take a pic w my phone, ended up with 22 pics and 3 movies I did not know I took..lol

I bet if it was a new gun and NV, you would take the time to learn ;):D

Know, he ain't that big, but we gotta start posting...........

This boar was shot on our family place right at dark. He was 85 yards out, quartering towards me. Darkness made an exact shot difficult, but I aimed for where I guessed his neck/vertebrae was behind his ear and squeezed the trigger. The 110 Accubond at 2662fps dropped him instantly. He was kicking a bit so before it got too dark I fired another shot at the back of his neck. He was lying in tall grass, so again I had to guess shot placement. As you can see in one of the pics, the shot burned across the top of him. After 30 minutes I eased towards him. He had expired. Didn't autopsy him but appears the bullet passed through a bit below the vertebrae towards the shoulder area. The overall shock musta incompacitated him

NOTE: If you use the girth only formula, this boar goes 231.5995 lbs.
10.1709 x 43" - 205.7492 = 231.5995 lbs

Good job! May have to make it an ugly pig contest with a big pig bonus.

A Nice hog is a dead hog. Good job. I can not get in this contest because I failed Algebra.

Heart girth is measured in inches using a cloth measuring tape. The tape is placed directly behind the front legs,
wrapped snugly around the heart girth, and read directly behind the shoulders.

thanks FrankT- this is interesting. I made my sign last night and will get out in the field shortly to shoot a big bugger that may not win this but will act as a catcher for some 120SST's that I have loaded recenty. Only counts if you use a 6.8SPC, correct?

Real strange thing happened to me at the deer lease last weekend. I went out there to shoot some hogs with a .277WLV and try different bullets out. All I saw was deer! I never see deer on this lease- just big pigs. Imagine my disappointment. Shooting pigs is way more fun than whitetails.
