Been loving this chambering for quite some time now. And I have been a big fan of the 6.8SPC. I actually own three of them.
Would like to own a HAM'r. --- pruhdlr

Both the 6.8 and the HAM’R work perfect for the hunting We do. The wife and I have hunted for years with the 6.8 with great results. I do like the availability of larger bullets with the HAM’R. 6.8 we use 115 and 120 grain and with the HAM’R I use 135 and 150 grain bullets. Both calibers are great!

Wondering what the velocity difference is between a 6.8SPC and a HAMR shooting a Barnes (or other) 110gr bullet ?? --- pruhdlr

REALLY CLOSE !! The 300 can go heavier but not lighter and the 6.8 can go heavier but not lighter also. The 300 cuts a wider hole going in and has the potential to smash/penetrate bigger bone (momentum).
I still like the 300 and have many years expierance with several 6.8's in different actions, with different bbl lengths, shooting a wide variety of bullets,at hogs, deet, and yotes.
Watching the 300 closely. Thank you for your input sir. ---- SAWMAN
