Thanks Trijicon - Reap-IR manual

Called Trijicon the other day hoping to maybe get a real person and ask for a manual. The quick start guide my scope came with sucks. Well, I immediately got trough to Tech support. Super nice dude explains to me that they had recently finished the manual. Takes my info and less than a week later I get it in the mail! Not to S on IRD but I got a great vibe from Trijicon. Seem like hard working midwestern types.

Nice.. is the "quick start guide" you're talking about the small 8ish page laminated booklet on a ring?

I got my Reap back innDecember I think or January.... but I got the laminate 8 page package

Yeah I got the laminate quick start guide and it sucks. This little booklet is still simple but is 59 pages. Call Trijicon they'll have former IRD in California mail you one real fast.

i guess that IS more pages than i cud expect u to scan. trijicon shud have it in their dnload section.

My battery extender stripped out on the cap and they were able to get me a new one in the mail in about 3 days. No fuss. Pretty happy with the service thus far from them.

Most manuals are available online from most manufacturers. I save them and maybe print out the top 10 pages I might need

I like to save them all as pdfs and have them in my dropbox which I can get from my phone. Real handy when you're at the range or hunting and need to look something up.

i just read the itar section of an online seller and the rules governing export of nv devices seems to extend to manuals and documentation. might be some kind of law against posting the manual for anyone to download??

That's very possible. Pulsar stuff is online but of course they're made in europe so I guess it doesn't really matter too much. I'm not sure if flir is online or not.

DJ : I just real the itar regulations and they explicitly state that not only can you not export NV devices.....but that applies to manuals and use instructions as well!!!!!

The music stops, people drop their beers, the chicks put on their tops, and the scene fades to black as everyone walks out the front door.

Well most of the MFGs have manuals online, if ATN can do it they all can
