The evening started with some bacon wrapped quail, wild pig loin and a beverage of choice. Then the rain started back it was not looking good for the home team so we sat in the study hall discouraged and feeling down on our luck. When I went over to the computer and pulled up lsb I seen the thread where's the pork. As I read it and kept reading it over and over out load to dubbs his eyes started watering lip was dragging I knew we were gonna have to go get him some swine therapy rain or shine. So we loaded up headed out in the rain hit the first bait hole bam ol silver back was in the corn. Silverback has slipped away twice already in the last month he has been our number one target for awhile. Silverback is now off the hit list. Hit the next hole nothing, the next one nothing. Had one more it was supposed to be a home run..... nothing. By now its 11:00 aka prime time. We head out to our favorite place. After some brief scanning Dubbs finds em in the middle of a 60 acre wet pasture 400 yards away. Game time is upon us . As our luck has been all night we start stalking and the cows start running we stop they stop we walk they run over and over and over. The hogs scurry to a fence row the cows go back to eating like we wasn't even there. I was about to explode, Dubbs was sniffling and whining, I leaned over and said they going to the next field over 400 more yards.[dubbs starts giggling] here we go again. as we get to the gate we realize the grass is waist deep [sniffling starts back] I
open the gate we start wading through the grass I catch a glimpse change to black hot they within 50 yards. Br who haven't mentioned to this point caught a glimpse. Yall cant understand the excitement of a 350 pound brute when he sees pigs at 50 yards after he has walked 800 yards through mud and pig rooting. Amped up is a polite way to say it!!!! But we could only see 4, there was 23 in the group. Well unless we were gonna wrestle BR he was about to burn some powder. Boom boom boom and boom. 4 down. We are looking everywhere nothing...???? we spread out in the waist high grass scanning I hear grunting I walk 50 yards there is the group about 150 yards away feeding. We gather up head to them line up #@%$#@$#%^& pigs go everywhere one runs through the firing line.( dubbs has a very good exiting video of him) lol. 5 more confirmed. Now we got to walk back through mud blood and tears! Dubbs will have to post silver back not much to him but it was a relief to finally get him!
