Saturday Morning Sow

[RattlesnakeDan]

Did a quick early morning hunt...spot and stalk in some thick nasty brush here in south Texas. Heard a hog grunt, that familiar "woke me up" grunt ...so I stood still for a bit and then proceeded real slow, saw some movement about 40 yds away and this sow took off up a hill...I held on the one open spot and when she came through I took her through the lungs. After she went past about 6 little fellas past through w/o a shot.

Great job Dan! Nice sow down.

That was the first time I shot the Hornady 120's...hit her quartering away in the chest and she made it about 10 yards or so on the run before falling over. Hopefully that is a good omen for the Hornady's.

That is my bullet of choice for the 6.8.

Maybe huh? I hunt the brush and it's hard to get off a shot on scrambling pigs, specially them little baconators!
