been hunting pretty hard lately because I haven’t been seeing any hogs. finally I got on one about 3:00 last night. easy pickens. snuck up close and he was totally unaware. looked like it was just going to be a regular bang/flop… until he got back up and came right at me. looks like he had about as much respect for the 300wtf as he would have for a 223. but it is what it is and it’s all I had. bam, bam, bam… right in the slobbering snout. white hot blood and snot slung over his back in a geiser spray each time he threw his head back from the 110 gr black tips smacking his sniffer. finally he suffocated on his own snot and kicked a few times before giving it up.
I couldn’t wait to see the vid, but that was too much to expect with the way my luck has been running. get home… no vid. don’t know what happened. I had a vid from a prior night so I’ll just show that. consider it extremely rare bonus footage. my buddy had night vision, but even with the bright moon he couldn’t see the hogs moving through the brush. I waited and waited for him to give me the go and… never shot. what a pity. not likely that will ever happen again, so consider this vid a collector’s item.
