Kids Had Fun !

Our church had a "drive-thru" candy give-away/prizes. For those who showed up on foot, we did a hay ride in pick-ups and a utility trailer to haul 'em from station to station. The kids we were hauling sure seemed to be having a ball. We had 200 lbs. of candy to give away, Milk Bones for the dogs, music playing (they even did a live radio broadcast). Hopefully, kids will grow up and see the place where they were given all the candy as a kid and decide to come in and visit the church. The kids who showed up with a plastic grocery bag from mom's stash... when they saw we had fancy plastic bags with Halloween printing on, they all stashed their bag from home and asked if they could have a fancy bag too. LOL We even got some "High Five" action from a few of 'em when they were done. Best Halloween action I've been involved in, in years.

Good stuff RD, kudos to you and your church for giving the kids a safe environment to be kids. At our church yesterday, we were discussing how to help the family whose house burned to the ground yesterday morning, one block from the church. Everyone should realize how lucky and blessed most of us are.
