I've had a number of boars hitting this feeder the past 3 weeks. Finally had a chance to hunt so with a perfect wind and light rain, it was set to be a good night.
2.5hrs into the sit I notice the 3 coons eating corn go to full alert and make a break for cover. Something is incoming! Looking through the NVG's I see this boar cautiously approaching the feeder. Now, I've shot many hogs before, but have actually never attempted a neck shot. This time however, as soon as his front end cleared the juniper I put a 120SST square in his neck from 49 yards. Poleaxed him. He turned out much heavier than I expected. What a blessing!
