Hey guys, I know there is several of you here that know about my connection with Dry Creek. Rustin Morgan, the owner, has been one of my closest friends for several years including a few years before he started up Dry Creek. He set out starting DCO primarily for waterfowl as that has always been his main hunting passion, but once we found the niche for thermal hog hunts we dove into that and luckily got in on it at the right time.
Over the past few years he's gained more and more property to hunt on making it now a total of around 35,000-40,000 total acres of land. Around 1/3 of it being all cultivated fields for wheat or milo that we run the hog hunts on.
For the hog hunting it is $300 a person per night plus another $75 if you'll be staying in our lodge.
Included in the hog hunts is the use of our 4 AR rifles chambered in 6.8 topped with Armasight Zeus thermal scopes. Ammo is also included. For the hunt you will ride with a guide from property to property looking for hogs. Once spotted you'll stalk up within 75 yards or less to make your shot. Each hunt generally lasts around 5-7 hours depending on how well the night is going. We also guarantee at least the opportunity to shoot a hog or you will be refunded for the hunt. The total number of hogs you kill a night depends on your shooting ability!

Other hunt options available are regular dove hunts, Eurasian dove hunts (no limits on Eurasian dove), Waterfowl over water or dry fields, and spring turkey hunts.

Dry creek outfitters also offers land leasing for those looking for a deer or quail lease.

Contact Rustin for any further questions or to book a hunt! (940) 257-9685

Just a few photos of past hunts.

Congrats on the new venture for you to partake in. I NEED to get myself on a vacation to do a little of what I vicariously enjoy 'round here.

Nothing new for me! I've been with him on it since the beginning. Been a cool experience to get to watch his business grow from the start.

Can I ask if there is a prime time of the year for hogs?
There are a number of times of the year. They hit crops when they are being harvested or planted. They'll hit acorns, which are starting to fall, or any other natural food source when they are ready. It's been my experience that the pigs will hit feeders after the natural food sources start getting hard to find. Although we always seem to find pigs hitting creep feeders meant for calf's.

I'd say the guides should know their areas and where the pigs should be. You can't kill them on the couch.

Prime time is now through March pretty much! We have different places with different crops so we are able to hunt year round with good success.
