Difference in IR Lasers

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the differences between an IR / Green laser combo below that costs $100 vs one of the other IR / Green laser combos that cost $700 +? I have the $100 laser and am just looking to shoot predators, bunnies, etc at 100 yards or less and was curious what all you are getting by upgrading to one of the high end lasers?

Never heard of the first one may be great may lose zero. The DBAL is battle proven.

I get ruggedness, hold a zero better, waterproof probably, etc. I guess I would be interested in hearing if anyone has used a less expensive laser in the field and it's been just fine or if it's a cry once buy once where the nicer lasers are necessary for predator hunting, not necessarily going into battle.

The lazermax uni IR works great and is about $130-$150.

Awesome thanks, I already have the vector optics one but it is very bulky so I just picked up the Lasermax UNI IR as it looks a lot less bulky and for just plinking at night I think should work as well. Thanks for the recommendations.

Lasermax is only thing I'd probably fool with on the cheap cheap. The otal ir is a good ones for less than 500 usually. That laser max will work for you for a while. Zeroing them is kind of hard but mine stayed zeroed on a 300 blackout for a good while once I had it where I wanted it.

I was asking about the difference you get between a cheap laser like that one and one of the pricier ones.

The difference is versatility and durability. Most of the high priced and milspec lasers have built in buffering that can take the jar of recoil and keep ticking. They are usually tough and waterproof. If you are looking for resale value and tacticoolness... many of the ATPIAL's and ATILLA's etc. were made in 2009 yet they are out there and keep working. They are usually also more powerful and have greater range.
I have a tendency to go on and on...but that is the gist. Love having a PEQ15 on my rifle....or better yet a LA5
