No hogs for 2 weeks, just raccoons and they set off the trap so I have devised some evil little raccoon bombs and they have dwindled in number considerably, but....the hogs were back last night and I have new daytime corn thieves. Reset. Maybe tonight!

Last time I was in Kansas with friends , we chopped the breasts into 1" chunks, deep fried them in beer batter (fish batter) and passed around the bowl. Man that was good stuff.

It is kind of a pain, but I used to brine, air dry in fridge and then slow smoke (not to exceed 225 degrees) with some cherry and apple wood. Juiciest turkey I ever had.

I usually make jerky out of mine if not I always brine before cooking/smoking.

We have the same problem. There is a group of 60 turkeys on one of our places. If you think hogs can clean you out watch 60 turkeys work down the road you just corned.

Will the turkeys eat soured/fermented corn? Hopefully it makes them drunk and you can just pick them up after passing out!

I have the same problem. At my place, the turkeys keep eating all the hog corn. Heck, the deer aren't even getting any.
