The purpose of this video is to show you that you cannot go out and kill a whole sounder of hogs without the other hogs knowing that they're being shot at with a suppressed rifle even subsonic the noise at the bullet impact is louder or as loud as the rifle report. And all hell breaks loose once you fire that first shot. Suppressor do confuse them as to where the shots are coming from and are a great tool for the hunter.

That was pretty interesting, amazing the sounds hitting and missing, I can see how it might confuse the other hog not knowing where it is coming from. Thanks for the demo

Todd -

Probably one of THE BEST informational videos that I have watched recently. Thanks for taking the time to do this.

What were the ranges the pigs were at?

Also if you expand on this a couple of ideas:

1) shoot each gun without the surpressor so we have the reference of supersonic (hunting) loads
2) double the distance

Again, I know this was no small feat to accomplish and THANKS.

The battery died in my rangefinder this weekend but using google earth to guestimate it was about 65-75 yards. I had also planned on doing the un-suppressed rifles but it was freaking hot out there. This winter Alex and I are going to make another one using more calibers more suppressors. With the cooler weather and a helping hand it should turn out very nice.

Funny how u could hear the flies really start buzzing around after the hits from the camera angle closet to the pig... Hog and maggot eradication.

The best explanation of what is actually heard. Not speculation. Love it.
