Went deer hunting tonight just to see how they are moving with this colder weather. I shot a nice buck the week before thanksgiving so I haven't been hunting too hard lately. I was really hoping to see some hogs but none came to the wheat tonight. For the other deer hunters here they are chasing hard again. Saw 81 deer before it was too dark to count anymore.
After I got back in the truck I decided to just unload my AR308 and put it in the back seat because I didn't think I'd see anything driving back to the gate.
Well when I was driving down the main ranch road I turned the corner and there stood two sows with about 20 in the 30-40 pound range. I started to just run them over but decided to try and grab my AR308 to shoot them. Had to reach in the back seat, grab a mag, rack it, and open the door and still managed to shot one of the sows. Texas heart shot made her spin around for a second shot to finish her. Sorry for the crappy photos.
