Good info/input from Glenn re. calling hogs in my copy of Petersen's Hog Huntin' (pg.46 - #6 - Sooeee!) Thanks for your input on this topic Glenn.
Have been callin' a little during my night hunting adventures. However I have not been very successful. I had several come in, however at night using thermal the shots seem to be close and quick. I will install my Laser Genetics ND3 on my 6.8/Mini 14 and give it another try next week. BTW,there is a great article on the 6.8 in this magazine also.
Had a nice hog step out onto the roadway the other night when callin' yotes but we could not get a rather quick shot at him. He seemed pretty interested in the "Fawn in Distress". My old FoxPro has been taking it's share of yotes lately though. Got a 40 pounder a couple of weeks ago. That is HUGE for NW Fla-Dah. The "norm" has been 20-30lbs. We called in three more but could not get a shot at them.
