I believe I stalked this boar twice in the same night. I/something spooked him during my first 350 stalk and he was gone when I crested the rise where I could see his location again. That is part of the reason I dislike blind stalks. However, he appeared to come back a bit later and I repeated the process with better success. So much so that I ended up much closer to him than I intended.
I mentioned that the ammo is Hornady ELD-M 129 grain and it is actually 130 gr. D'oh! Still, it performed well. I was trying to hit the humerus to see what would happen to the bullet and just missed. The bullet went about an inch in before opening up, smashed a rib, cut 3 tubes (trachea and/or esophagus plus carotid and/or the jugular vein) filling his chest with blood, into which I managed to drop my phone while taking photos. 3 cleanings later and I still don't think I got the blood out of all the crevices, LOL.
