I sat up watching a tank that is surrounded by nothing but open pastures Friday night. It paid off with a sow coming to take a dip in the water. She was rewarded wit a nap at the dirt nap spa!

She almost got away the dip in the water was only for about a minute and she was on the move running into the wind. I was walking at an angle trying to get close but ran out of room fast! She was only 20-30 yards from the fence line and thick brush so I took the shot.

About 150 yards and scored a center shoulder shot she went down like a sack of potatoes no squeal just a short dirt dance. I found it strange a sow was alone.

I found what looked like a healed up exit wound behind her ear. Someone hit to high missing the spine. The stick is the 120sst entrance.

The old wound. It was not bleeding but I examined it.
