When I arrive at a property to hunt, I immediately start scanning. This was one of those deals where I arrived, got in the gate, closed the gate, and scanning before driving in to where I normally park, spotted a hog and so just left the truck right there.
The hog was under a stand of trees that the landowner tells me is a persimmon grove. I am guessing he was going after some of the early persimmons that had fallen from the tree.
