I would agree with your above sir.
About a year ago,when word was out re. Nikon "down sizeing", Natchez had a huge offering on some of the Nikon's. I love the FFP style of scopes and the prices was too low to resist.
I bought three of the 4.5-18x40 FFP scopes and two other SFP lower powered scopes,ALL WITH THE BDC.
One of the 4.5's is on my longer range 6.5PRC Browning.
One feature about the FFP scopes with BDC is that by changeing the power setting,the retical(BDC) size changes. I use this to bracket a animal and by some trial and error,and note taking,you can use this for rangeing.
Nikon is a great product for the money. I have mostly Leupold,a few Zeiss,and three Swarvoski. It is all about the glass and for the price paid,IMO,the Nikon's are comparable. ---- pruhdlr
