hunted with a bud last night who was trying his new xd50a and mdvr. we had a few crossed wires so this post will be a little different.

no wind all night so hunts were spotting from long distance and long stalks. on the first hunt we were just about to finish the last leg of the stalk and a coyote ran in front of us and spooked the herd. we were in total disbelief. would have been epic too.

second hunt our stalk was interrupted when the hogs decided to turn around and stalk us. we waited until they stopped about 40 yards away and blew their heads off. no vid so a thermal snapshot will have to do.

next stalk began from the adjacent field. i got a quick screen shot before taking off. we had to go through some brush and i guess my dvr got turned off. bud's dvr worked but scope shut off after first shot. not much video but enough so you get the idea of what went down. too bad cause we got soooo close and that was some of my best shooting. i had more hits than google. all but 4 made it to brush or milo.

Too bad on the loss of video. Nice pile of pigs there.
 
Sounded like the rifle range. I figured you had like 18 hogs down!
 
Good job Dr. Jones. Too bad about the road kill video and the black screen on the second set of hogs. LMFAO!!!! I'll loan you and your buddy a couple tubes of epoxy and those cables will not come out again.......................evah. Hearing it is almost as good as seeing it. Almost!

Nice haul of hogs!! Having video issues is better than having gun problems and no hogs down!
 
this post/story is no good without the video proof because so far all we have seen is jams and dirt clod target practice....I think you ran up on this guy killing pigs, made up the story and stole his pics!
 
What is the crop planted in the field with the dead pigs?

Your bud might want to check the battery cap on the XD 50.

Would have really enjoyed the video I think, with all the shooting and the thumps of rounds hitting home.

i hit lots of hogs but only two died in the field. two were on the edge of the brush. not enough knock down power for super suses. i'm certain if i had it on vid my new indian name would be... many banners... lots of likes
 
I was just on "Texas Gun Traders" and it's empty.
 
Nice audio DJ, good hogs down. Sounded like a blood bath! The apex caps can be tricky, I went to the battery pack and never looked back.
