    1. Can you upgrade the lens size on a Reap IR like you can on the Hunter?
    2. 1yr old Reap ir type 2 used for $5500.00. Seams like a good deal to me, am I right?

Thanks for any info and opinions on the price...

What are the differences between the gen I and the gen II?

I believe the only difference is the battery box, on Gen 1 the batteries arranged parallel to the scope/rifle and Gen 2 the batteries are perpendicular.
My understanding is the Gen 1 had some issues with the batteries disengaging from recoil which caused a temporary power lose.

First, there are many people with far more Gen 1 Reap experience than me. With a total of around 20 nights with 6 different RENTAL Gen 1 Reaps, I never saw a failure. I did see how fast they burn through batteries though and that was why I went with Gen 1. No rechargeable option for the Gen 2 and none in the foreseeable future.

If you dont hunt that much and the scope is "like new", $5500 isnt a bad price.
