Quick hunt

I put the kids to bed around 9:15 and loaded up for a quick hunt. I found 2 sows and piglets eating calf feed at the calf ranch and stalked in on them. The moon was full and very bright, NV almost not needed. We had a strong wind (my favorite) blowing from them to me. I believe the sow on the left saw something she didn't like when i got within 50/60 yards. It wasn't my best shooting and they all ran into woods. I found good blood and tracked them in 50 yards or so. There i found some of the piglets huddled together and let them have it with my M&P 45. I continued to follow blood down into the creek where i found the 2 sows dead. Final tally; 2 sows and 1 piglet with 6.8 (Hornady 120SST) and 2 piglets with 45. I took pictures and then hit a couple more places, back home by 11pm. I'm still really liking the Sepia pallete on the Pulsar XD38A from *******************.

Nice job Lancer. Wish I had that many dead hogs on the ground after "not my best shooting". I love those early hunts, especially the next day at work.

Thanks guys! No, I would eat them if it came down to it but the things I've seen them eat put them pretty far down on my list. Besides we have a free beef program for the employees so my freezer stays full.
