Question about trapping hogs

What do you guys think about using a freshly killed hog in a trap as hog bait? Would it work if not left in for more than a day at a time? The huge boar I wounded was possibly eating smaller dead hogs that I had dumped the day before.

Ive shot coyotes using coyotes as bait, Omnivores, it should work

I have used carcasses but it never worked and left me an unpleasant trap for a while. I would stick to more conventional methods.

I know hogs will eat other hogs but I agree with RD on sticking to more conventional methods. Corn is still my go to although it gets harder during deer season when every one fires their feeders up. If you want to get serious find a way to keep some hogs alive in the trap and you will catch more than you want.
