Pulling BT

Interested in pulling a ballistic tips off to see if there is any expansion difference and cycle issues in my .300 or 5.56.

Any pointers?

I pulled a few just to make them fit in a 6.8 mag did not notice any difference and decided it was not worth the trouble.

As a general rule I would say don't do it.

The manufacturer did a LOT of testing to get them to work.

If you are just doing it to experiment, just be safe and post results.

Lots of data on the Internet is you search about others that pulled them. I thought about doing with my 208gr subs for my 300BO.
