Play the wind , and you will win.

So if you live in the San Antonio area you know that we just had the first true cold front of the season, so I check the wind direction and figure the wind will be blowing in a left to right direction over my feeder. I know the pigs are bedded down about five hundred yards to the right perfect time to break out the sour mash. I pour it out at 8:35, clip into my safety harness check the wind once more it's perfect GAME ON. Wind is blowing furiously when I hear the feeding grunts that are soon followed by pigs. A group of seventeen walks under the feeder I wait for two sows to line up and bang front sow drops back sow runs first pig moves alittle so I put another in her shoot till they stop moving is my saying. Go check for blood sure enough secondary blood trail leading away 80yards away I find number two piled up. image.jpeg No pic of number two was in a hurry to get home. But main point if you know how to play the elements with the right stuff kills come with expectancy, not hope.

To answer your question I'll have to look at the box for exact grains but I use Remington umc otfb 120 grain rounds, I have dabbled in the higher end such as the oh so great vortex 110 grainer all the way to Lehigh defense controlled coas bullets. But I keep going back to the umc great price, great expansion, and will actually exit and cause lethal damage to a pig on the other side.
