Occasional auto record failure

I sometimes find my Flir 233 fails to record coyote kills, which are generally one shot deals. Using on a 6.8 AR. If I go to training menu, should I raise the red line or lower it to along the negative recoil bar? Suggestions?

You must be using the negative trigger which the gun moves rearward towards yourself. You should move the red bar up towards the center of the graph bar columns to make it more sensitive.

Thanks. I increased the record time, but have done little else to change factory settings.
