Set up tree stand a few weeks ago but haven't sat in it but one morning for a half hour so went tonight. It was cold and windy...I said "Lord if you want you can bring me something early". I must be getting use to the southern weather. So it is dark now and I hear a hogs...they came crashing down the creek bank on the other side and right into the deepest part of the creek....I can hear them swimming. They come up onto my side but behind me. I have no night vision and can't see through scope so I click on my green light. They didn't mind it at all but it is a wide beam, all I can see are eyes and pig shapes in the thick woods. Picked out one set of eyes and fired. One thing about pigs in the dark woods, they can't see very good. Sounded like I shot all of them...crashing into stuff, splashing in the creek, squealing like death. So I went to look if I hit one and little fella was just laying there all peaceful and serene. Too much story for such a little pig but it was fun.
