Pigs have been digging in last few weeks. I'm adjusting my strategy for these guys. This tank is just a couple of minutes walk from the "library".

Those guys look happy as a pig in .......... well you know how that ends. Is that a “black” IR or regular? The hogs are very aware of the light, and not too comfortable about it, but the deer didn’t seem to even notice.

Regular IR. They are spooked when I first put it on a new trail, but will get used to it. They are always staring at it.

Don't'cha wish those remote cameras were set up with a cellular activated cross hair/gun for moments like that? Use your smart phone to guide the cross hairs and push "Blam" ? A feller could hunt it entire area, all at once !!!

Great footage. Not boring at all.

I rarely get that kind of ground level footage from my cameras because the cattle or hogs tear it up if they can reach it

I find I often learn more from these videos than kill videos because I can see hogs natural behavior – the audio is an extra bonus.

Alas, Johnny Law, at least in Texas, anyway, put a legal stop to that kinda wishful thinking about 15 years ago:

The Texas legislature passed a bill prohibiting computer-assisted hunting in late May 2005 (the House on May 29 and Senate on May 30). The governor signed it into law on June 18, 2005. The law prohibits anyone from engaging in, providing, or operating facilities for computer-assisted remote hunting, if the animal being hunted is in Texas. It defines “computer assisted remote hunting” as the use of a computer or any other device, equipment, or software to remotely control the aiming and discharge of archery equipment, a crossbow, or a firearm to hunt an animal, including a bird.
