Just to let you know how are the laws here , referring to the allowed sizes for use of civilians :
I - Handguns: repetition or semi -automatic , whose common ammunition has , in barrel output power up to 300 foot-pounds or 407 Joules and their ammunition , such as the .22 LR caliber , .25 Auto, .32 Auto, .32 S & W , .38 SPL and .380 Auto;
II - Rifles (long guns): repetition or semi -automatic , whose common ammunition has , in barrel output power up to a 1000foot-pounds or 1355 Joules and their ammunition , for example , caliber .22 LR , .32-20 , .38-40, 38 SPL and .44-40 ;
III - Shotguns: repetition or semi -automatic , 12 caliber , with barrel length equal to or greater than 24 inches; the smaller caliber, any barrel length.
For those who want to use other calibers , for example: 243 win , win 308 , 300 Win Mag for rifles or .40 S & W , .45 ACP , 357 Magnum, 44 Magnum for handguns, these calibers are only released for sport shooters or hunters - a special license is required which is controlled by the Army and must be renewed every two years.
It is sad but true...
