Lol I used to be a techie now I'm far behind.

Fortunately I'm locked into a unlimited data plan.

I have 2GB of data and never come close but had a outdoor site keep its GPS on and ate data, so uninstalled it as I had no clue how to turn it off.

I had to go unlimited data because I use my phone for everything. I average about 20gb of data a month

Most phones allow hotspot. I stream Netflix at work for 6 hours a night every night. Cranks the data usage

A hotspot is an additional charge. For me to get a hotspot I would have to pay more. Before ATT offered hotspots I hacked my iPhone and turned it into one. They never cared because they did not offer one at the time. But when they started offering the service I revived a txt saying stop or it would reflect on my next bill.
