Last night of the season

Season finished (until May more or less). Cold night, was watching foxes and rabbits around me, as usual. Heard something, looked through my Trail and there were two hogs passing by. Shot the first one, a really big sow with 5 little hogs inside. Jammed my rifle (totally my fault, tried to reload too quickly...). The other hog ran away. Made 'chorizos' :)

Good shot. What was the distance? Looks like you didn't have much time to get a shot off before they disappeared.

DRT! Well done.

Nasty wound with that round, but it did it's job. Chorizos' is good.

Good kill. Lots of flavor in a chorizo.

Good shot! Guns always seem to jam at the worse time!!

Thanks. I'd say around 90 yards. No, I just had a few seconds but were busy trying to remove the stuck bullet...I think I learned the lesson.

The round was Hornady SST 150gr for my .308. It does its job pretty well and wounds are usually small. I am not a fan of necropsy so I cannot tell you what happened this time. I do take the meat and yes, chorizos are really tasty ;)
