I had written Senator Burr several months ago about this problem with the AFT and them wanting to require trusts and corporations to provide a designee to be fingerprinted and background check. We he wrote me back and his letter has two items of interest. The first item is that the government will now allow M1 Garand's to re-imported back to the US from South Korea. The second item and I quote "As for new firearms regulations, the administration has indicated a desire to require trusts and corporations to provide a designee to be fingerprinted and have their background checked in order to transfer firearms registered under the National Firearms Act. Implementation of the proposed rule has been pushed back after the ATF received a large number of serious, substantive comments" He went on the say he opposes the action and will continue to oppose the policy. The second Senator from NC has not responded to my letters. So maybe this is good news!
