I have a newbie hog hunt question regarding bait.

I suggest souring corn in a bucket and spreading it in the area, putting out a roll barrel with regular corn, and setting up a camera. The sour stuff will bring them to find the bait sight quicker. The barrel will keep them coming back. The camera will tell you when they start to frequent the bait. Once they come in a few times and are used to the bait, go hunting.

Thank you sir! I'm going to follow yall' a suggetstions. I like that plan. I'll definitely keep you guys updated. Going scouting in the morning. I will report back.

Agreed... That makes me happy. May make a night trip. I put corn out yesterday at 8:15 am. Its about 1/4 of a mile east of where the hog is at, but that's a good sign. It is a young chocolate about 65-70lbs. I was through that area twice yesterday, so had to be last night or this morning. As it is across the entrance of the farm.

If'n a feller were REALLY curious... checking the stomach contents might tell him whether that's one likely to be raiding his bait.
