It appears the hogs have my late night pattern deciphered, so I snuck out early this morning in an effort to "save the corn". Sure enough had a small sounder helping themselves. I dropped the scout then 3 more confirmed kills before walking back to fetch my car, speaking to the facility manager for 10 minutes and dragging the culprits up for a mug shot. During the process of posing the corpses another sounder came out from the other side of the corn pile, 30 seconds later and they would have been behind me in my picture! I got back to the car, and dispatched only 2 of that group. 6 dead before breakfast, not a bad way to start a day.

Lancer...it's been like a whole week or so since a dead hog pic.....was wondering if you were ok!

Been having coyotes killin blackbucks at friends place. Put a hog carcass out for bait at 500 yds from the house on another hill. Started getting pics from cam on my phone while I was at work. Got off at 0200 and headed for coyote territory. Got there and found him walking around on the hill. Watched him go right to the hog. Knew the range , proned out on the driveway and held over 5.5 mil and sent a round. Got a Yelp but he ran and started coming at me. He was jus about to make it in a valley and in some brush at 435 yds. Sent another 120 sst and got him in the neck. Was only about a 5mph wind and it sounded like I hit a bowl of jello. The end. I will give that Armasight Zeus 640 credit... It's accurate, holds zero and puts rounds on target when I can get the image right.

That's some great shooting! I've shot big animals at over 400 yds but that is a small target, impressive.

I took one of my friends from work hunting last night for the first time. He's a very bright young guy and he caught right onto the night vision and Thermal, we saw lots of hogs and overcame several technical issues on my part, pvs-14 turning off and gun jamming, we still managed to bag 8 for the evening,
6 from one sounder. Which we had to use a 4-wheeler to drag out of the muddy field today. He's hooked now!
