Dax came down to my place in Lavaca County last night. BRD and I made sure his thermal was up and running. I let him have the run of the place and he put the smack down on two and I got one. BRD was just there for company. LOL Video's to come later.

The two DRT are Dax. The one I shot I hit in the shoulder and then again at the last rib. He was laying dead ten feet from the fence. Oso is always taken care of.

After my daughters volleyball tourney i swung through where my son killed the sow Saturday, i thought her group my be out. They were and this was my first kill with night vision: It seems i got almost everything wrong on my first try.
1. i didn't have my scope turned on
2. i didn't have the IR illuminator mounted
3. i forgot it could record until way too late
4. when i finally got in position and fired the scope shut off from the recoil and wouldn't come back on until i removed the SD card and reinstalled.
I knew i hit one from the squeals but couldn't see anything without the scope. I finally got it working again and with my white light found massive amounts of blood, followed them and found this little boar 20 yards away.
For my "ambush" hunting style this is going to take some getting used to.
