Cypress here. Just got back from fishing with my dad on the Neches. We pulled in a dozen nice crappie (white perch if you are from SE Texas, slabs in other places) and a blue cat. All fying pan size. It was the first time in a long time we actually stayed out the entire day, use all of our shiners, and caught all keepers. Still, I couldn't help but scout the area for hog sign. I didn't expect to see any during the daylight but I and hoped to see signs that they had come to the river at night. Looked promising in some areas but would have to go back with a serious intention.
