Guided a friend ... 1 hog down!

Took a friend out last night to do some hog hunting .. he shot two hogs about two years ago.

We stalked on a group of hogs and a lone boar but just couldn't connect on the first few tries ... we also had some gun issues so that didn't help.

We made one last round and saw a lone boar... I thought it was a bedded down calf since it was near a cow but as we got closer I saw the hog throwing up dirt in the air ... bingo. We stalked up to about 40 yards and waited till he turned broad side. Waited for several minutes then the hog spooked. He did the usual lifting up his head was about to bolt. Luckily he turned broad side and my friend shot. The hog ran towards the fence line and my friend hit him with another shot... I thought the hog made it to the fence but few seconds later we saw the hog just walking along the fence line ... he looked confused. Few more rounds and he was down..

We got up to the hog and realized that my friends first shot actually hit the hog in the eye area ... the hog must of had limited or no vision and couldn't find a way under the fence. He was a decent size boar, pics below!

Gshock, did DJ really sell this upper to you? If so, and you have any issues, I would suggest calling Eric at Blackstone Arms who put it together (if its the same upper im thinking of). He genuinely cares about his customers being happy and anything with his name on it. Based on my dealings with him, I would bet that he will make it right if he built it, if for any reason it isn't, even if you didnt buy it directly from him.

Lol ... no Eric didn't build this one! I paid a gun smith to put this upper together, it runs but I have to keep it well oiled with the suppressor. I did order another 6.8 upper from Eric few weeks ago, it's for another friend though.

haha. i wudn't do that to shock. OinK is the only one deserving of that upper. but seriously, eric looked at it and couldn't duplicate the problem. OinK loves a challenge and just had to try to fix it. well... he's still trying. if he doesn't get it working i might actually feel bad about the deal
