Did we find a butler creek or other that fits 50mm armasight/Flir lenses? Thanks. These floppy things suck.

Check out the vortex defender flip caps, 40mm worked great on my 42mm zeus, they make a 50 and 56mm.

I put a butler creek on my 536 . I got one that was a little to small ! I got a small heat gun and heated it up and got it to slide on with much effort . I fits tight but functions great and does not slide around like my IR hunter cap .

FWIW, I went ahead and purchased the Vortex Defender 0-44 (48-53 mm). I’ll report back.

I bought butler one size larger than was recommended and it was still too small. I’m going to take my scope to a store that stocks them and try them.

Thanks man. LMK what size works. Could you check the Ocular ones as well?

Did you actually measure the outside diameter of your scope housing or just based it on the lens size? If you did the latter, then you did it wrong. If you did the former, then you should have found a correct fit, particularly given the Defenders rubber 'skirt.'

Do you have the proper model number for a 50mm Zeus?

While we are at it, do you know the proper model for the ocular lens?

I went to a local gun shop that stocks Butler Creek flip covers. Took 2 scopes in and fitted them.

    Flir pts 536 50mm - BC 44 obj
Fit is nice and tight. No heat needed. To me it’s a nice snug fit.

Flir Prometheus pro 50mm - BC 39 obj
This pro has a different, thinner lens housing than the 536. The 39 slides onto it snugly no heat needed. This is an Armasight with Flir stickers on it I got from amazon for cheap.

Oh I didn’t mess with ocular lens caps sorry.

Thanks Taco. I sized a FLIR 50mm against the package for a Vortex Defender 50 (55-59mm) today. 87% chance it will fit.

I will let you know if it works when it shows.

Confirmed. The Vortex Defender Size 50 (55-59mm) cap fits the 50mm Armasight Zeus.

Now I need to figure out the ocular size.

Tanker, that is a good find. SiOnyx uses these as well. The price is quite a bit cheaper than the Vortex Defender. Can you post a pic with it on your scope?

55-62 fits perfect on IR Hunter 35mm.
    The 49-54 fits the PTS536
