Got a call from the rancher and he said he was having hog problems with the recent rain. Finally managed to get to the ranch two weekends ago. Right when we pull into the ranch we spotted hogs, some of the hogs saw the truck and took off but a few didn't see us.

My friend ended up shooting one with his .270 about 175 yards out and DRT and the hogs started running. At the exact moment, my other friend was pulling up to the ranch and the hogs ran right in front of his truck. He ended up taking out one hog as he was trying to avoid the sounder.

We ended up shooting 4 more at different parts of the ranch ... and we ended up taking out a BIG boar on our last stalk. Didn't weight him but he looked to be at least 300lbs - biggest pig I've ever shot... We took some photos but he looks smaller in them. 6 total for the night.

Pics below ...

4 in the back of the truck ... 1 left in the field

A buzzard ain't happy until his head is all shiny from in and out of a carcass about a hundred times!
