Hog down 002.JPG Hog down 003.JPG Hog down 006.JPG Feeling a little insecure with my 6.8 lately. Last few hogs have gotten away. Stalked a big boar last night at dusk and hit him hard twice and he headed to the creek and never went down after initially rolling him. Shot this sow twice on the run this morning at first light and took 2 more to anchor her in the brush. Recovered my 115 gr Fusion from far shoulder and looks like little expansion and entry wound was small and exit was a bullet size hole. Pretty disappointed. Have to change ammo, have 4 more boxes left, don't want to shoot them anymore. Not good!

That's disappointing performance. At least this one didn't get away and gave you some answers.

120SST or the 110Barnes, but really with all of TLM's videos and his high regard for the 120SST, there is not much else to say.

You won't have that issue near as often with 120 SST in my experience.

Good hog down... Ive used 120ssts and 115 fusions. Ive noticed less hogs running off with the ssts.

Definitely going to switch...in a perfect world of head shots, no biggie, but that is seldom the case with my style of spot and stalk, usually moving targets. Live and learn. I'm going to use my 556 tonight, have some 64 gr Winchester Hog Specials that need to be shot.

Best of luck to you tonight. That place where you trapped the little piggy in just a matter of minutes look promising day and or night. GOOD LUCK!! BANG BANG!!

Nice sow, congrats. Thanks for the repot on the 115 Fusions. Sounds like plinking ammo to me. Take heart, that 6.8 with the right ammo will make you smile.

Nice sow Dan. Sorry to say, but I had the same experience with the fusions on deer. They kill, but not quickly and didn't leave a blood trail in my experience. Too bad too, they were very accurate in my rifles.

Nice Sow there Dan. Congrats.
Looks like the 115 fusions work, just need a little double tap insurance maybe... regardless, the 6.8 works like a champ with the 120SST's from my rifle - If I do my part. ;)
