I had a new pair of slick leather gloves and just slipped in mid swing, when I put them on I knew they could be trouble. Oh, well. Another day.
No, I told you in the thread I did showing the making of the wrap for the 'hawk... a year ago (or so).
Awesome dove hunts Wildfowler. I only got to go the first weekend of the season, then surgery. It would be hard to get out right now with a four legged walker. I hope to get out again in the second season. I'll be able to walk without any help by then.
Snake, that's a tough way to get out of doing honey dos around the house! Heal up and come kill some critters, Chopper... been a great dove season up here, my retriever is still a pup though lol
He's WELL trained then! Man, I am going to have to get up there and meet you guys. Y'all have everything up there.
Excellent Pics !! I found a field on Friday that had about 150 in it. About to pull in now to see if they survived the Highwind and cool front we got yesterday. Our second season re-opens week after next weekend. Hopefully we will get a recharge!!
Oh yes, great season finale!! Big groups of dove coming in and flying very fast in the wind. Seven of us hunted and got limits .
That's awesome! Looks like you even got a couple white wings in the mix. I didn't get a single limit yet this year, but at least I got enough shooting to keep it interesting.
No white wings. Saw one last weekend and a buddy killed one two seasons ago. We do get ringnecks from time to time
Good luck, sir! We had to disk all our grab grass to plant rye grass... dang dairy cows messed up our birds! Lol
You may get a shoot over the rye grass? We used to shoot a cow pasture that was planted in wheat that was phenomenal!!
