Coyote

So I was getting ready to go sit on a Deerstand yesterday afternoon and I looked out behind the camp and saw a large coyote about 600 yards away From the building.

Quick change of plans and I grabbed my shooting sticks and jumped across the moat behind the building to go give chase.

Somehow in the course of jumping the ditch I popped a muscle in the back of my calf which sent me hobbling back to the camp.

Not to be deterred, I crawled into an atv which I drove and parked right under a deer stand near the location where I last saw the yote.

Ran the call off and on for about 20 minutes but nothing happened.

Then right at dark, I spotted the coyote standing at the edge of the food plot with my thermal.

In my struggle to get into the atv, I forgot the most important part of the hunt. I forgot to replace the SD card which I removed to copy video from my beaver shoot the other day.

No coyote on film, but I managed to rollthis one while it was trotting across the food plot.

I gave him a 30 caliber stomach ulcer as you can see in this pic.

Another healthy coat. Prime 'yotes this winter. Congrats... hope the injury isn't a bad one, and heals quickly.

Thanks. There was a doctor hunting yesterday afternoon who looked at my leg. He said not much to do but stay off it. Similar to sprained ankle.

Still hurts like a sombich.

I thought you were talking about the coyote.
LOL... I have a younger cousin, who while in college, invited me over for dinner. She was introducing me to her menagerie of pets... including a goldfish in a block of ice (in the freezer). When I asked about that one, she tells me it'd died, she was hoping to have it revived after they perfected cryogenics. When I suggested to her that a LIVE candidate may have a "more gooder" chance of revival, she got a sheepish grin on her face, and gave me an "oh".

When I first saw that yote way across the field my first thought was that it was a deer. It looked huge.
