Coon hunting at my house

I live in the country next to a corn field. Tonight I was on the look out for some big coons. I see about 80 yds what looks like little coons. I take a shot from my second floor sniper hide and the coon does not run. Dang I got him. Put my helmet on and went to go see. It was a possum still a live. What is weird it can't see me I walk right up on it and hit it with a stick. Dang thing does not move. I circle it twice. It is not looking at me. I kick into the creek. Dang next time I will take my tomahawk and dispatch it properly.I laughed all the way back to my house. My wife thinks I have lost it hunting possums.
