being the ambassador of likability that i am, i let my buddy take the first shot(s). this is cool canyon country, but the rocks heat up in the day and make thermal spotting hard. the covert cam took the guesswork out (special thanks to milkdud's girlfriend for helping program it).

first shot was 155 yards, but he was shooting a 17cal. i'm used to them running faster since most of my hunts are open fields. sussifer made it over the cliff and required 5 shots from the judge (only had 9 shot in it) and 5 more shots from a super blackhawk

then hooked up with another bud (the one with the pulsar that turns off) and spotted some in an orchard. stalk was painstakingly slow with no wind and crunchy leaves. decided to stop before the crest of a rise so the hogs wouldn't silhouette us. we setup to check and whoa... there they were. buddy's countdown was a little slower than mine, but i didn't jump it. poor guy went blind again... TWICE. that's got to be frustrating. he called pulsar today and has a new 'updated' battery cap coming.

Well done! Your topography is a lot different out there than what we have here.

I wanna shoot me some pig !!

Nice to give them a warning shot before shooting at 500 yds!

That poor corn thief didn't know what hit him, neither did the rock. Where are their kill photos?

Some good hogs down! The first video ... kind of interesting land to hunt on. Looked like some of the hogs ran up a tree ... hahah

shooting rocks is a step up from dirt clods. i expect lawdawg to follow suit soon.

looked for the coon but cudn't find him. after reviewing the vid, i was looking in the wrong place.
